Jack Shackleton - A Committed Railroader

This is from Gary Spiegel. It is a wonderful epitaph of a committed railroader. (Thanks Fletcher Swanson for sharing this)

"This is a guy who worked so hard for me that he got frostbite on both of his ears while at a train wreck. He produced solid numbers all of the time, could fix any operational thing that was broke. He was a tenacious manager that would never, ever give up. If he told you he was going to accomplish something you could count on it being done. He was stubborn, committed, loyal, and full of life. He had fun at what we did. I will miss him and my great memory's of him."

I worked with Jack "The Shack" Shackleton in Toledo and later in Chicago. Yes,he was tenacious , yes he was headstrong, but he was a good man and railroader. I am sure he is missed
