Dear Family and Friends, I'm so sorry to have to report that today at approx 4:30 p.m. that Jay lost his battle and died from heart and vascular disease. After having just received a kidney transplant on 4 January 2011, things turned bad on the 10th of January. He was my friend and love and I already miss him so much. Please tell anyone you know that may have known Jay about his passing. Since Jay and I married later in his life, unfortunately, I don't know all of his earlier friends and would like them to know this information also. The children and I were all with him and he passed peacefully. He was a wonderful person and will be missed so very much.
We are planning a Celebration Ceremony of His life in the future and I will let you know when a date and location has been decided. We are hopeful that many of his friends and family will be able to attend. Jay has asked to be cremated and spread at horseshoe curve in PA. A place very dear to his heart from the many railroad trips that he took and all the engineers that he trained on this curve. This will happen once the snow disappears -- perhaps even in the spring. Assistance on how this can happen is also needed.
If you would like to share any funny or otherwise stories about Jay, please let me know or please tell us at the Celebration of his Life. You can reach me at the above email and you may pass it on to others as well.
Sorry to have to share this very sad news.
His Loving Wife,
Sandra
